TANA Wellness Spotlight: Hope Ferguson, CRNA

 

 

 

 

The TANA Wellness Committee would like to introduce you to Hope Ferguson, TANA President. When asked how she prioritizes self-care, she responded, “I prioritize self-care by keeping work-life balance at the forefront. I usually start my day with a trip to the gym, where I do weight training and cardio. I think about leading from the front. I get that from my military experience. If you can’t lead others, you are not taking care of yourself. Finding a good accountability group and team also helps. If it weren’t for my fitness family, there would be many days I wouldn’t make it to the gym, but having my accountability keeps me balanced and in check.”

Another aspect of self-care that Hope cherishes is travel. Each year, she makes it a point to visit her second home, Jamaica, and explore other countries. Her travels to Croatia, Iceland, Paris, Amsterdam, London, and Brussels have been particularly memorable and rejuvenating.
