Substance misuse and drug diversion can affect anesthesia professionals at any stage of their careers, and hesitation to speak up can delay intervention. This AANA Journal study examines a national educational program that significantly improved participants’ knowledge, confidence in recognizing signs of substance misuse, and willingness to report suspected misuse.
