The Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Moon, DNP, CRNA, as the new District V Director.
Steven brings a blend of clinical expertise, academic experience, and advocacy to this leadership role. Since the beginning of his nurse anesthesia training, he has been deeply engaged in TANA through committee involvement, professional events, and legislative advocacy. Steven has built an understanding of the priorities, challenges, and strengths of CRNAs and SRNAs across the state, as well as nationally.
Steven serves as a CRNA and Clinical Coordinator at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and Adjunct Faculty with the University of Tennessee College of Nursing in Knoxville. This daily connection provides valuable insight into district needs, workforce dynamics, and opportunities to strengthen professional support and retention throughout the region.
Steven has actively represented the profession at key events including the AANA’s Mid-Year Assembly, Annual Congress, ADCE meetings, and TANA Day on the Hill and Annual Conventions. He has taken personal time to meet with legislators in Nashville, supporting CRNA visibility and statewide advocacy efforts during critical policy moments. His consistent presence at District V events underscores his commitment to being an engaged and accessible leader.
Steven believes deeply in transparency, collaboration, and strengthening both CRNA practice and the SRNA pipeline. He is committed to supporting TANA’s mission, advocating for our profession, and maintaining meaningful engagement across District V and the entire state.
Please join us in welcoming Steven Moon to his new role and in supporting him as he continues to advance CRNA practice and professional unity in Tennessee!
