New Evidence Supports Pectoral Nerve Blocks in Breast Cancer Surgery

Pectoral (PECS) nerve blocks may offer meaningful benefits for patients undergoing breast cancer surgery, according to a recent systematic review and meta-analysis. The study found PECS blocks were linked to lower postoperative pain, reduced opioid use, and less nausea and vomiting, supporting their role in multimodal recovery strategies.
