Jodi C. Carlsen, DNAP, CRNA, APRN, is Faculty in the Department of Nurse Anesthesia at VCU since 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Detroit, Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from University of Detroit Mercy, and her Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Carlsen recently retired as the senior practicing anesthetist with Paragon Anesthesia Services in Johnson City, Tennessee at the regional Level One and Children’s Hospital. Her research interest includes safety of anesthesia practice in the neonatal and pediatric patient, as well as multimodal anesthesia.
