On March 26, 2020, Vincent Davis, Director of Office of Health Care Facilities, issued a memorandum to hospital and ASTCs regarding Executive Order 18, which directs hospitals and outpatient surgical facilities to postpone non-essential procedures in light of COVID-19. The memo emphasizes the purpose of the EO is to protect medical providers, staff and community from transmission of COVID-19 and protect against the unnecessary use of PPE which is in short supply. The memo concludes noting that failure to comply is a Class A misdemeanor.
