On October 12, Jim Alberding, DNP, CRNA, APN, was honored at the Annual Business Meeting with the 2024 Patty Cornwell Practitioner of the Year Award.
Jim Alberding is a very proficient CRNA, a loyal and kind friend, a gifted educator and an absolute credit to our profession. Jim’s advocacy for the CRNA profession has been nothing short of admirable and mountain moving.
The author of another nomination stated, “Jim has served in the educator sector since 2019 as Associate Program Director and Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s CRNA DNP program. I have met and mentored several of Jim’s students, all of whom are grateful for his loving, encouraging form of leadership. He uplifts his students while fostering a sense of safety and security in his program. Jim is leading the future of our profession into a culture of compassion, intelligence, autonomy and advocacy. He is not only creating change himself—he strives to empower the next generation to provide the same level of advocacy he dedicates.”
