The University of Tennessee College of Nursing - Nurse Anesthesia
Concentration is a 31-month program that culminates in the
awarding of the MSN degree to its successful candidates.
The program begins in January each year and ends 31-months
later in August.
The
program received the maximum 10 year accreditation award,
and is accredited through 2014.
The
primary clinical site for the program is the University
of Tennessee Medical Center - Knoxville, a Level I trauma
center, offering a wide range of clinical experiences to
student nurse anesthetists. Other clinical affiliate sites
are:
- Fort
Sanders Regional Medical Center
- East
Tennessee Children's Hospital
- Fort
Sanders Parkwest Hospital
- Baptist
Hospital of East Tennessee
All of these clinical sites are located in Knoxville.
Applicants for the program must have a BSN degree, a competitive
score on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), a minimum GPA of
3.0, and a minimum of one year of current adult intensive
care nursing experience. All applicants must complete a
graduate-level statistics course before the start of classes
in January.
